MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT
Focuses on talent acquisition, employee relations, training & development, and organizational behavior, preparing students to manage and lead people effectively in modern workplaces.
Equips students with skills in financial analysis, investment management, corporate finance, and budgeting, enabling them to make strategic financial decisions in diverse business environments.
Mr. Avinash M A, an experienced finance professional with over 15 years of extensive knowledge, is currently heading the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Department at MRIT. He has served various institutions and corporate entities throughout his career.
Before joining MRIT, he was the Project Program Manager at Prixgen Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., an ERP implementation and development company in Mysore. He also served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, Mysore, and as an Academic Student Counselor at the IGNOU, Learner Support Centre, Mysore.
He holds an MBA with a specialization in Finance and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the University of Mysore. His core skills include teaching, operations and project management, team building and development, and enterprise resource planning. He is also known for his flexibility and adaptability.
He is National Eligibility Test (NET) qualified in Management from CBSE, New Delhi, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Management Science from the University of Mysore. His research articles have been published and presented in several journals, both nationally and internationally.
His entrepreneurial passion has driven his involvement in various new and existing ventures. In his consulting role, he effectively assisted Cre8 Infracon Projects LLP, a construction company in Mysore, in successfully establishing their operations.
