Dr. Nakul N

Nakul N, a founder faculty is heading the Department of Civil Engineering at Mysuru Royal Institute of Technology. He has been the face of the Department of Civil Engineering ever since the inception of the institution i.e. from 2015. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from The National Institute of Technology, Mysore (NIE, Mysore – an Autonomous Institution under VTU) and Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University Regional Centre, Mysore. He is pursuing his Ph.D. from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU Belagavi).

He has more than 10 years of experience encompassing industry and teaching experience. He is well versed with softwares such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, AUTOCAD and MS Office. He has published 6 articles in National and internationals Journals and has presented his papers in 3 National conferences. He is a life member of ACCE – Association of Consulting Civil Engineers since 2021.
He worked as the senior design engineer at Civil Aid Technoclinic Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore before devoting himself to the teaching field. He is the key person in designing structures such as Brigade Cosmopolis, Whitefield, Bangalore, Machani Ananda, Basavanagudi, Bangalore and XRBIA, Hinjewadi, Pune. He has conducted proof checking in many residential and commercial building structures in and around Bangalore and Mysore. He is also the Technical Advisor for Buildpoint Constructions and Technologies, Mysore.
Academically, he handles subjects related to his specialization i.e. Structural Engineering. He has outstanding analytical and problem-solving skill with the ability to provide effective solution. He has strong leadership and motivating skills including the ability to build solid relationships with staff.

In addition to being the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Mr. Nakul N is also the Estate officer of Mysuru Royal Institute of Technology. He also holds the position of the Youth Red Cross Unit In-charge of the institute. He is solely responsible for the organization and conduction of the annual college fest – aMRITayana.
